Tips on keeping mosquitoes away

If you want to keep mosquitoes away from you home, clean up all around the house. Mosquitoes like damp and wet areas to breed in. 

Clean up and empty any type of container that holds water such as old tires, flower pots, wheelbarrows or tin cans that are outside. Drill holes in the bottom of used containers so water cannot collect inside. If you have a bird bath, change the water every couple of days.

 If you have a swimming pool, make sure the water is always circulating, remove any water that may collect on covers and empty wading pools that are not in use.

When you are cutting your lawn, mulch the grass clippings, if possible. Turn over compost frequently. Fill in any depressions in your lawn. Clear out any dense shrubbery - mosquitoes like to rest in these places.
